USACDF Testimonials
These testimonials and thank you note excerpts are from just a few of the many athletes and organizations that have received support from the USA Cycling Development Foundation:
I was lucky enough to spend a month racing in Europe on both the road and mountain bike with the US National Team... The racing experience I gained helped me win my first US National Championships which I would say is the highlight of my career. After the US National Championships I went to Canada and did two UCI World Cups. The racing up there helped me get a perspective of different rider’s abilities and spot the fast guys to help me prepare for the World Championships where I will proudly be representing the USA.
Without the help of your generous donations trips to these places would not have been possible and my goals would simply be words on a paper instead of actualities. I really appreciate the help and hope you help continue to support such a wonderful program.
Sincerely, Russell Finsterwald

"The USA Cycling Development Foundation has been instrumental in Taylor's success as a developing junior cyclist. He gained valuable experience in Europe last spring. He followed that up with the US Team trip to Canada where he won the Tour de L'abitibi, which gave him the confidence and fitness to make the giant leap onto the top step of the podium at Junior Worlds. Further, the Foundation has aided Taylor by supporting his extraordinary quest to earn a spot on the Olympic Team in Beijing." Connie Carpenter - 1984 Olympic Road Race Gold Medalist and mother of Taylor Phinney

Below is a postacard from Charlie Avis to all the Foundation donors
"I wanted to thank you again for your support in helping me attend the USAC camp in Flagstaff this past summer. I learned a lot from not only being in the same environment with racers that have similar goals as mine, but also from what Barney (King) and the other coaches said to us almost every day: "Don't worry about the result right now, everyone will eventually develop their engines and it's the people who are tough mentally are the ones who end up sticking with it". Thanks again for your help and support...." Julian Martinez (CA)
"I want to offer my deepest gratitiude for awarding me the Stenner Scholarship...This award recognizes our hard work (The Bucknell Team) and is a huge step forward for me and the club...I will continue to support Collegiate Cycling for years to come, and in fact this is the best way I can give back, to Bucknell, the USACDF and all collegiate cycling." - Todd Dowling, 2006 Stenner Award Recipient.
